About Me

Who am I?

My name is Rosco Nap and I'm from a small village in the south of the Netherlands. I live there with my girlfriend, doggy and two guinea pigs. When I'm not working I love to cook, hang out with friends and tinker with hard- and software.

What keeps me busy?

In 2011 I started working as a solution architect for a public cloud provider in the Netherlands. I build and design virtual cluster environments upon our multiple cloud's (Openstack, VMware, XEN and HyperV). My role is to translate the business needs of our customers to the multiple products we offer.

What am I excited for?

Although working with technology is one of my favorite things to do, I also enjoy optimizing internal processes.

I know it sounds strange, but I love to fix inefficient or broken processes within IT organizations. It brings me joy when processes are running measurably more efficient and smooth. The tools I use for my work are based on open source projects, and with this blog I believe I can give some experiences back to the community.

Don't you just love it when you are struggling with some settings or vague error message, and somebody on the internet has fixed and blogged about this problem and you can just copy & paste the answer? That's what I thought!

Well, don't just sit there and start clicking around! Please read, discover, laugh, criticize constructively, and comment on my articles.
